Content Quality Checklist

This 9 Point Content Quality Checklist is used to determine the quality of each individual piece of content we write (with flexibility to adjust for specific criteria, of course.)

Alhough it is very generalized, please feel free to use this 9 Point Content Quality Checklist as a reference for your own content. If you find yourself falling short, please keep us in mind for quality content management services!!!

Error Free

All freelance writers with Anonymous Ink are native English speakers. We do not tolerate content containing any spelling or grammatical errors.

Before content is initially delivered to a client, it will go through a rigorous proofreading and editing cycle… 3 times or more… ensuring the highest quality has been reached.

Readability

Content published on the internet should almost always be between a 4th grade and a 6th grade reading level.

(There are rare exceptions to this rule, and there are many elements that come into play.)

DIY Content Readability Test-
Avoid the use of lengthy or complicated words, and keep each sentence short and punctual. Read your own content aloud to yourself. If you find it difficult, adjustments are needed.

Usefulness

There are enough articles published on the web that can be considered a complete “waste of space.” That is a pile that we refuse to contribute to.

Any content written by an Anonymous Ink  copywriter will have a purpose, meet that purpose, and (for the end user) will always be worth reading.

Accuracy

When applicable, all claims (including quotes and statistics) will be checked for accuracy.

If a claim is not up to date and true, it will not be used. A proper citation will be used for any claims when– and if– it is appropriate.

Influence

From whiplash title to multiple conversion points, each article or piece of content delivered to a client must be engaging and influential.

All content must be entertaining to read, while serving its purpose.

When appropriate, this will be tested on an impartial party of relevant interest.

Effectiveness

It is very important that content written by our freelance writers meet expectations on all ends.

Our satisfaction is based on your satisfaction, yet we also put a high priority on each article delivering the same high level of satisfaction to the end user… your new customers.

Appropriate

The voice and style used in an article must be appropriately attuned to match the nature of the article. (Humor is used only when it is appropriate.)

The voice of your target readers are a huge factor in determining the relevance of any voice or style of writing used.

Visual Appeal

The visual appeal of content is as important for print marketing as it is for material published online.

The first impression of content is nothing more than a glance, and this can determine whether there is a pull of interest, or if the copy is intimidating.

Complete

If an article can accurately fit each expectation on this content quality checklist, and we feel it is complete in every possible way, this is when your opinion comes into play.

We rely heavily on your own feedback to determine if the content has met your expectations and  are always flexible to adjust our criteria to meet your unique needs.
